【USR Hub】"Taipei City University 1+101" Taipei Net-Zero Collaboration Platform Project - Taipei City University 2024 USR Project Management and Review Meeting

The "Taipei Net-Zero 101 - Taipei City University 1+101 Net-Zero Collaboration Platform USR Project" held its launch ceremony at the Tianmu Campus of Taipei City University. This event showcased the collaboration between the university, the Taipei City Government, and the private sector, jointly promoting the green transformation of 14 major areas. The project aims to achieve 101 demonstration projects within three years. President Chiu Ying-Hao stated that this USR project is dedicated to fully supporting the city's net-zero policies and encouraging participation from various universities and schools across Taipei. In the future, the university will focus on cultivating green talents, building a net-zero smart campus, and driving community transformation to realize city-wide carbon reduction initiatives. Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau Director, Hsu Shih-Hsun, speaking on behalf of the Mayor, emphasized that the project will leverage interdepartmental collaboration within the city government and public-private partnerships to achieve a 40% carbon reduction by 2030. Director of the Taipei City Department of Economic Development, Chen Chun-An, highlighted the project's critical role in advancing Taipei’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions. He expressed appreciation for the extensive support from various sectors, underscoring Taipei's firm commitment and proactive efforts toward sustainable development and carbon reduction. Secretary General Pai Yu-Lin of the Taipei Chamber of Commerce affirmed the Chamber’s full support for the project. The organization will promote industry participation in carbon reduction efforts and continue integrating corporate resources to serve as a vital private sector force linking public policies with industry needs. Finally, Taipei City University will collaborate with partners such as the Mobius Group and Tatung World Technology to establish the world’s first "Green Hydrogen AI Data Center" in Taipei, marking a significant step forward in building a smart, net-zero, and transformative Taipei.
