The good cycle of "you and I share the same good" - sustainable community advocacy, care and site management - the 113th annual Ministry of Education University Social Responsibility Co-cultivation Activity─[Effectiveness Evaluation Online Reading Club]
On July 23, 2024 (Thursday), at the invitation of the University Social Responsibility Promotion Center of the Ministry of Education, we participated online in the 113th Ministry of Education University Social Responsibility Co-cultivation Activity - "Effectiveness Evaluation: A Required Course for University Sustainability" online reading This event invited the book's editor-in-chief, Mr. Tu Minfen, to speak from his own experience, introduce the book's editing concepts, and lead us to understand how to use the book. Teacher Minfen shared that effectiveness evaluation work may be like the “most familiar stranger” to universities. Universities may be somewhat familiar with the promotion of effectiveness evaluation work, but more likely they are unknown or at a loss as to what to do. However, in the face of this important and huge task, universities undoubtedly need to devote a lot of effort to understanding the meaning of effectiveness evaluation. This activity hopes to help the university's USR planning team understand the basic concepts and familiarity with effectiveness evaluation work through the leadership of the editor-in-chief of this book. The structure and use of this book. It is hoped that this book will serve as a reference guide for university planning effectiveness evaluation efforts. After participating in the "Effectiveness Assessment: A Required Course for University Sustainability" online reading session of the Ministry of Education's University Social Responsibility Co-cultivation Activity, the planning team deeply realized the responsibilities and challenges that universities shoulder in promoting sustainable development. During the reading club, experts and scholars introduced various evaluation methods in detail and shared actual cases, which gave the planning team a deeper understanding of how to specifically quantify the effectiveness of the university's social responsibility plan.In addition, interactions with other participants also allowed the planning team to learn about the innovative practices and successful experiences of different schools in implementing sustainable development plans. This event not only enhanced the knowledge reserve of the planning team, but also inspired the planning team to participate in and promote the sustainable development of the campus in the future. We firmly believe that each of us can contribute our own strength on this road.
