Institute of Sports Science Special Lecture - Statistical Analysis and Application

a In order to improve students' ability to apply statistical methods, special emphasis is placed on the mixed design of two-factor variance analysis. Two-way ANOVA is a statistical technique used to test the effect of two independent variables on a dependent variable. Mixed design combines the characteristics of independent samples and repeated measurement samples, allowing it to handle more complex experimental design and data analysis problems. The lecture will cover the concepts of main effects and interactions, and demonstrate how to use SPSS for statistical analysis through practical examples. Students will learn how to set up hypothesis tests, interpret F-test results, and further conduct comparative analysis of main effects and simple main effects. In addition, the course will emphasize the interpretation of results and their impact on research conclusions, helping students develop critical thinking skills and research design skills.
