【USR Hub】"Taipei City University 1+101" Taipei Net-Zero Collaboration Platform Project - 1130816 Net Zero Carbon Planning Manager (Beginner) Certification Pre-Exam Intensive Course

This session once again invited Dr. Hsieh Chia-Hung, an Assistant Professor at the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, to conduct an online pre-exam crash course for the Junior Level Zero Carbon Planning Manager Certification. The goal was to help participants quickly familiarize themselves with the key course content and review materials before the exam. This session focused on Topic 2: "Zero Carbon Emissions Inventory Standards and Procedures Overview." Dr. Hsieh first introduced important milestones of international greenhouse gas control agreements, as well as related penalties and verification methods for emissions inventory. He then provided a detailed explanation of the greenhouse gas inventory process, how to set boundaries, and the significance identification process for indirect emissions sources. Additionally, he provided examples and explained the quantification methods for various categories of emissions sources. Next, Dr. Hsieh discussed the current status of product carbon footprint development both domestically and internationally, product category rules, and lifecycle assessments. He also explained the key points for carbon footprint inventory data collection, including the units that need to cooperate and how to organize and allocate data. Combining the carbon footprint inventory calculations with the aforementioned information leads to the creation of a carbon footprint research report. The session concluded with a discussion of exercises, wrapping up the pre-exam crash course.
