【USR Hub】Playful by Name, Promising a Joyful Life in West Taipei - Management and Practice of Playful Urban Marketing - Two-Day Study Tour in Beipu, Hsinchu
Beipu's Ci Tian Temple serves as a significant center of faith for the Hakka community, dedicated to Mazu, symbolizing protection and blessings. Strategically located at the heart of Beipu's main settlement, the temple's placement not only facilitates the spread of religious culture but also strengthens the cohesion of the Beipu community. The Jin Guang Fu Mansion, built by merchants from Guangdong, became the commercial and political hub of Beipu during its peak period of prosperity. The mansion's establishment attracted numerous immigrants and craftsmen, fostering the local economy. Additionally, the well-preserved Japanese-style dormitories near Beipu Elementary School showcase the exquisite craftsmanship and cultural characteristics of Japanese architecture, now serving as an essential cultural heritage of Beipu. These structures collectively reflect the historical development and multicultural integration of Beipu Township. Through visits to Ci Tian Temple, Jin Guang Fu Mansion, and the Japanese-style dormitories, one can gain insights into the region's historical context while experiencing the rich cultural diversity and historical significance of Beipu.
