【USR Hub】Playful by Name, Promising a Joyful Life in West Taipei - Management and Practice of Playful Urban Marketing - Two-Day Study Tour in Beipu, Hsinchu
The Long Yingzong Literary Museum in Beipu, Hsinchu, was originally the Japanese-style dormitory of Beipu Public School, constructed around 1916 to accommodate the needs of faculty and staff. The building, a wooden twin-structure of the "Type D Appointed Official Residence" style, was designated a historical building by the Hsinchu County Government in 2016. The museum was established to commemorate Taiwan’s renowned novelist, Long Yingzong, whose works are characterized by strong realism and often depict the lives of ordinary people, reflecting the deeper currents of Taiwanese society. The museum aims to preserve Long Yingzong’s literary heritage and promote his creative spirit, introducing his significant contributions to Taiwanese literature to a broader audience. Through its five permanent exhibitions, visitors can explore the literary achievements of Long Yingzong and his interactions with contemporary literary peers.
