We were honored to invite AI expert, renowned business consultant, and best-selling author, Professor Cheng Wei-Chuan (Vista), to serve as the lecturer for the "Empowering Local Marketing Skills in the AI Era Workshop." This full-day workshop, lasting seven hours, was divided into two sessions: lectures and hands-on activities. During the morning session, the instructor introduced the fundamental concepts and techniques of marketing, including how to craft compelling copy and demonstrate the practical applications of AI tools. Notably, the session was highly interactive, with the instructor continuously posing questions to engage participants, creating an energetic and lively atmosphere. In the afternoon session, the participants were divided into four groups and tasked with creating social media accounts themed around Wanhua. Using various AI tools, the groups designed marketing content, including text, images, and videos. The brainstorming process was filled with creativity and laughter as participants exchanged diverse and fascinating ideas. At the end of the session, each group presented their work, followed by constructive feedback from the instructor. The workshop was open to participants from multiple universities. In addition to three faculty members from our institution, the 13 student participants included two from Chinese Culture University and one each from National Chengchi University and Tamkang University, making a total of four external participants. Held during the summer break, the workshop attracted a significant number of students and faculty, highlighting the growing interest in applying AI tools to local marketing initiatives.
