【USR Hub】Integration and Diffusion of Medical Care, Elderly Support, and Higher Education: Establishing an Innovative Development Base for Social Prescriptions and Connector Workers - Visit to the Love and Care Service Center
The goal of this event was to help students understand the daily routines and living environment of individuals with intellectual disabilities. All participants are full-time students who live on-site at the center, with separate accommodations for men and women. During the event, students had the opportunity to experience regular activities, such as a 50-minute board game session, including chess, poker, and other educational games. In addition, they participated in leisure courses and kitchen cleaning activities, where they learned basic life skills such as mopping, wiping tables, and arranging chairs. The courses also included aerobic activities, like aerobic dance, where the instructor led the students in participating to different dance music for approximately 50 minutes per session. In the group sessions, students engaged in group interaction games using playing cards. They formed groups and introduced themselves, exchanging interests and preferences based on the combinations of different numbers and suits to enhance mutual understanding. Finally, through a video presentation and a sharing session with the instructors, students gained insights into the motivations and experiences of working in this field, which deepened their understanding of the living and learning conditions of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
