This course aimed to help the local residents and seniors master and deepen their skills in social media management, enabling them to stay in better touch with family and friends and actively engage in social activities. The session began with a brief opening speech by Director Min Da, who introduced the main content and objectives of the day’s course. Following this, Teacher Xin Hui reviewed the basic concepts of social media management covered in the previous session and presented some successful case studies to give the participants an initial understanding. Afterward, the teachers and students divided into small groups, with each group responsible for guiding the local residents and seniors in hands-on practice. They began with instructions on how to register a social media account, followed by a step-by-step guide on setting up profiles, posting content, managing friends, and effectively interacting. The team patiently answered questions from the participants and guided them through each step. Throughout the course, the local residents and seniors actively engaged, listening attentively and practicing what they had learned. The project team explained these techniques in detail, using real-life examples, and shared practical tools and resources. During the interactive session, the participants shared their learning experiences and asked specific questions, such as how to handle online bullying and how to protect personal privacy. The team answered each question thoroughly and provided practical advice. As the course neared its end, a small test was organized to allow the participants to apply what they had learned in a practical setting. The instructor then summarized the course and encouraged the local residents and seniors to continue learning and applying the knowledge they had gained.
