【USR】The Good Cycle of "You and I, Together"—Advocacy, Care, and Field Management for Community Sustainability - Minquan Community Discussion Meeting 1130719
On July 19, 2024 (Friday), the project team met with Executive Director Qiu at the Minquan Community Development Association in Yonghe District to discuss future topics related to the "Symbiotic Community." The meeting notes are as follows: The topic of "Symbiotic Communities" will become a focal point of modern society. This community model emphasizes coexistence and mutual support among different groups to achieve sustainable development and social harmony. A "Symbiotic Community" not only focuses on the sustainable use of the environment but also addresses the effective allocation of social resources, particularly the care and support of vulnerable groups. Through collaborative mechanisms and shared platforms within the community, residents can better support each other and face life's challenges together. This type of community requires a comprehensive management and operational model, which includes resource sharing, psychological support, and cultural exchange. Services such as psychological counseling and expressive art therapy within the community can help residents release stress and strengthen the community's cohesion. The application of social prescriptions can guide residents to participate in various health promotion activities, improving overall physical and mental well-being. Moreover, the "Symbiotic Community" emphasizes international exchange and cooperation, introducing advanced community management experiences from abroad and adapting them to local features for improvement and application. Through such international cooperation, the community development model can be continuously improved and optimized, providing successful examples that can be replicated in other regions, thereby promoting the global construction of symbiotic communities. This model is not only about integrating internal community resources but also about fostering harmonious coexistence between people, the community, and the environment—a beautiful vision of mutual benefit. Currently, the Executive Director will first compile a list of communities closely connected with the Minquan Community Development Association for further discussion.
