In this lecture, we specially invited the Director of the Chiayi City Cultural Affairs Bureau, Director Lu Yijun, to share her experience. As a native of Chiayi, the Director shared a lot of Chiayi’s cultural history, including the old Chiayi Distillery, Chiayi Timber Factory, etc. Historical buildings from the Japanese colonial era. Director Lu also shared a lot of experiences and difficulties in Chiayi’s local revitalization process, giving us some different perspectives on the city and opening our eyes. Through Director Lu’s sharing, we have really thought further about the importance of our hometown culture and it has also aroused our interest in the transformation of our hometown.
