University of Taipei Crowned Overall Champion in 2024 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games

The 2024 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games, held at the National Taiwan University of Sport, went out with a bang on May 8. The University of Taipei claimed dual championships, securing the highest number of gold and the most total medals, with an impressive tally of 92 gold, 72 silver, and 55 bronze medals, amounting to 219. This year, University of Taipei athletes delivered outstanding performances across various events. In addition to earning 23 gold medals in the swimming competition (Open Division), they also clinched gold medals in track and field, artistic gymnastics, archery, shooting, weightlifting, canoeing, karate, judo, taekwondo, boxing, wrestling, badminton, table tennis, soft tennis, and handball. These achievements highlight the university’s long-standing dedication and commitment to nurturing top-tier athletes.
