Urban green space and elderly health
Urban green spaces have a significant impact on the health of older adults. These green areas provide leisure and recreational spaces for seniors, promoting both physical and mental well-being. Studies show that exposure to nature can reduce anxiety, enhance mood, and increase social interaction. In addition, green spaces encourage physical activities, such as walking and exercising, which can improve cardiovascular health and physical function in older adults. Therefore, placing importance on the creation of green spaces in urban planning not only enhances the quality of life but also promotes the overall health and well-being of the elderly.
