At the 2024 Campus International Golden Travel Awards ceremony held on December 12, 2024, University of Taipei students showcased outstanding creativity and expertise. The students from the Department of Sports and Leisure Management triumphed in the Sports and Leisure Tourism category, securing the top three prizes. The Gold Award was won by their itinerary “Soaring into Hualien and Taitung: A Water, Land, and Air Adventure,” which impressed judges with its innovative design and in-depth exploration of the region. Additionally, students from the Department of Education and the Department of Social and Public Affairs earned Second Place in the Ecotourism and Japan-to-Taiwan Tourism categories, further highlighting the university’s excellence in cross-disciplinary tourism planning. President Chiu Ying-Hao emphasized that the university is committed to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and practical, industry-focused education. Through the establishment of the Institute of Urban Studies and the launch of a Tourism and Hospitality Credit Program, the university is dedicated to cultivating skilled professionals with a global outlook. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of both students and faculty.
