UT Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Keelung City High Schools to Create New Educational Opportunities

On March 6, 2025, the University of Taipei held a memorandum of cooperation signing ceremony with several high schools and vocational schools in Keelung City, officially establishing a strategic alliance. This collaboration aims to deepen academic partnerships between high schools, vocational schools, and the university, providing students with enhanced opportunities for higher education and development through shared educational resources and a seamless learning transition mechanism. The signing ceremony took place at the University of Taipei, with representatives from National Keelung Senior High School, National Keelung Girls' Senior High School, National Taiwan Ocean University-affiliated Keelung Maritime Senior High School, and National Keelung Senior Commercial and Industrial Vocational School in attendance. President Chiu Ying-Hao expressed special gratitude for the support from the schools in Keelung and humorously acknowledged Principal Lin San-Wei of Keelung Girls' Senior High School as the "key driving force" behind the development of this collaboration. President Chiu also reflected on the history of cooperation and emphasized that the University of Taipei has long been committed to building partnerships with high schools and vocational schools, promoting cross-school resource sharing and academic exchange. The core objective of this partnership is to facilitate exchanges between high school and vocational school students in Keelung and the University of Taipei, while providing a more comprehensive learning transition mechanism. Through the strategic alliance, the university will collaborate with Keelung's schools to develop cross-school curricula, promote industry-academia cooperation, and offer students opportunities for visits and internships. After the signing ceremony, the Keelung education delegation, along with representatives from Keelung City’s Badu Senior High School and Anle Senior High School, visited the university’s Tianmu campus to learn about the university’s sports science laboratory and various advanced sports facilities, including an international standard swimming pool, sports science equipment, cryo-chambers, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, and environmental simulation chambers. Through this collaboration, the University of Taipei and Keelung's high schools and vocational schools will work together to promote academic exchanges and talent development, striving to create a higher-quality learning environment and nurture future talents with international competitiveness. The university hopes to continue to deepen its partnership with Keelung City, providing students with more diverse learning resources and development opportunities to achieve the goal of "seamless educational integration."
