2025 Rope’s here, time to play!

The lecture, themed "Rope’s here, time to play" featured a year-long exploration course shared by the instructors. Observing children’s keen interest in threads and yarn, the teachers identified a meaningful point of engagement. They moved beyond the traditional arts-and-crafts perspective of “thread” and integrated it into various learning domains such as mathematics, language, and physical development. Through hands-on exploration, picture book reading, and adapted games, the children’s understanding of lines evolved from tangible forms to abstract emotional connections. They even began using the concept of lines to create, solve problems, and invent their own unique game rules. The curriculum not only fostered multiple developmental skills in young children but also revealed their capacity for active learning and confident self-expression—highlighting their boundless potential.
