Professor Lin Pei-Jung is the founding chair of the Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Taipei. Since 1990 (the 79th year of the Republic of China), she has been devoted to the field of early childhood education in Taiwan. For over three decades, she has focused on advancing policy reforms, improving teacher training, and enhancing the overall educational environment. In this lecture, Professor Lin provided an in-depth explanation of the changes in the number and quality of early childhood education and care institutions and personnel before and after the implementation of Taiwan’s ECEC (Early Childhood Education and Care) integration policy. She also shared her personal journey in the policy reform process. Staying true to her original aspiration of "creating a high-quality learning environment for children," she has actively engaged in policy discussions, legislative amendments, and field-level communication, driving the reforms forward.
