The picture speaks: the secret grammar of visual narrative - Wu Shih-hung

Wu Shih-hung, who graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University, is a versatile image creator who is good at various media such as animation, comics and documentaries. He has long been concerned with themes such as Taiwanese history and family relationships, and his works have been recognized by many film festivals at home and abroad. In 2015, he founded "Yiyue Digital Image" and is committed to promoting Taiwan's aesthetic education. He has participated in the animation production of writer Wang Wenxing's documentary "Looking for People with Their Backs to the Sea" and Ye Shitao's documentary "Taiwanese Man Ye Shitao". In 2021, Wu Shih-hung won the first prize for newcomers at the Brussels Comics Festival in Belgium with the comic "OKEN: The Clue of Poetry" (adapted from the poet Yang Mu's autobiographical prose work "Mountain Wind and Sea Rain"), becoming the first non-European creator to receive this honor. Wu Shih-hung's creative style combines Eastern and Western painting techniques. He is good at expressing emotions and atmosphere with media such as ink and watercolor, and combines hand-painted and digital technology to present delicate and poetic visual effects. As the director of "Digital Video for Music", Wu Shih-Hung continues to delve deeper into the field of video creation, and is committed to promoting the visual presentation and educational promotion of Taiwan's local culture.
