【USR】Integration and Diffusion of Medical-Elderly Care and Higher Education Perspectives: Constructing a Social Prescription and Linking Worker Innovation and Development Hub - Xiang Qing Home Sharing Session
Xiang Qing Home: A Transitional Haven for Adolescent Girls Xiang Qing Home is a transitional residential facility dedicated to girls aged 12 to 18, aiming to provide a safe, stable, and supportive living environment. The home serves girls who are temporarily unable to live with their families due to challenges in their original households. We believe that every girl has the potential to change and grow. Our care model is holistic, encompassing daily life support, educational guidance, and psychological counseling. A professional team—including social workers, residential care workers, educators, and psychologists—collaborates to design individualized care plans, accompanying each girl on her journey to rebuild confidence and envision a hopeful future. Residential care workers play a vital role in the girls’ daily lives. Their responsibilities include helping to establish regular routines, ensuring basic needs such as food, hygiene, and rest are met, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. They also offer emotional support, listening to the girls’ concerns and needs, while guiding them in emotional regulation and interpersonal skills. In addition, care workers organize a variety of activities aimed at enhancing life skills and promoting self-exploration. This role requires a high degree of empathy and stability, as these professionals are not only daily companions but also key supporters in helping the girls rediscover their strength and hope. Xiang Qing Home represents a transitional journey. We hope that each girl who comes through our doors feels warmth and understanding—and leaves with renewed strength to step into the next chapter of her life.
