Picture Books and Parenting Education

To deepen students’ understanding of parenting education and children's emotional development, social worker Min-Hsueh Chen from Der Ren shared insights on "Picture Books and Parenting Education." Centered on the dual concepts of "nourishment" and "empowerment," the lecture demonstrated how picture book reading supports children’s emotional expression, behavioral learning, self-identity, courage, curiosity, and imagination. Ms. Chen emphasized that the core value of parent-child reading lies in building mutual trust and fostering positive parent-child relationships through companionship.
