In order to enhance students' modern dance skills and performance abilities, the Department of Dance has organized a Modern Dance Proficiency Assessment as an important component of semester-end evaluations and teaching feedback. This assessment examines students’ core competencies in modern dance, covering various criteria such as technical execution, body control, spatial awareness, movement fluidity, and artistic interpretation. The panel of judges consists of full-time and part-time faculty members from the department, who conduct fair evaluations based on standardized scoring rubrics and provide detailed feedback and suggestions to support students' self-improvement. Through this assessment, students are able to reflect on their learning outcomes, while instructors can also adjust their teaching content and methods to further enhance the quality of instruction.
