To enhance students' technical and artistic expression in classical ballet, the Department of Dance has organized a Ballet Proficiency Assessment as a key evaluation of semester learning outcomes. This assessment provides a comprehensive evaluation of students' fundamental ballet technique, movement accuracy, body alignment, stage presence, and musicality, emphasizing a balance between technical skill and artistic interpretation. The panel of judges is composed of full-time and part-time faculty members from the department. Assessments are conducted rigorously and fairly based on standardized evaluation criteria, with constructive and insightful feedback provided to support students' development. Through this assessment, students can effectively review their progress and achievements in ballet training, strengthen their professional discipline and stage performance skills, while instructors can refine their teaching strategies to further improve overall instructional effectiveness and quality.
