Gender equality means that all people, regardless of their gender, should enjoy equal rights, opportunities, and treatment, eliminate gender bias and discrimination, and be treated equally in all social, economic, and cultural settings. In recent years, Taiwan has promoted a number of gender equality laws, including the Gender Equality in Employment Act and the Gender Equality in Education Act, aimed at improving the social status of women and promoting gender equality.
