A More Fulfilling Journey in Teaching: From the Classroom to Administration
This lecture features Principal Chung Hsin-chang, a member of the New Taipei City Teacher Certification Committee, sharing his journey from teaching to administration. Drawing from his own experience of passing eleven examinations, he encouraged teachers to confront their weaknesses and pursue continuous improvement, urging them not to fear transitioning into administrative roles. He emphasized that administrative positions offer greater influence and more opportunities to realize educational ideals. Principal Chung shared unique communication strategies, such as using praise to create a “butterfly effect” among students and building mutual trust with parents. In school governance, he championed the “Friendly Campus” concept, which includes respecting animals. Finally, he urged educators to broaden their horizons, viewing the merits of education as vast as the “Ten Directions of Space,” and to cultivate a mindset shift that enables them to exert positive influence in their respective roles.
