The lecturer began the session with a captivating story, recounting a time when they traveled across Europe as a backpacker and joined a free walking tour. They were deeply impressed by the tour guide’s storytelling skills and realized the power of storytelling. Inspired by that experience, they decided to incorporate storytelling techniques into their own business, which ultimately led to today’s invitation to share their insights. The speaker also used case studies to help the audience understand the key elements of storytelling and the important considerations when drafting a story. Through this lecture, students gained an understanding of the importance of storytelling skills in English communication and public speaking. They learned how to capture the audience’s attention and effectively convey messages through stories. By listening to the lecturer’s personal examples and case analyses, students were able to grasp the essentials of story structure, emotional connection, and language expression. They also learned how to apply storytelling techniques in both writing and speaking to enhance their confidence and communication skills.
