The Color of Ice: Charity Screening - Part 1
To promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Office of Sustainable Development is hosting a special "SDGs Lecture Series." This session will feature the environmental documentary "The Color of Ice," taking students into the real-world reality of the rapid melting of the ice sheets in northern Greenland and helping them understand the profound impact of climate change on the natural environment and human lives. In the documentary, two scientists attempt to explore crucial data deep within the ice sheets using new drilling equipment; meanwhile, a local hunter faces the disappearance of familiar routes due to melting and must constantly search for new ways to survive. Through powerful images and true stories, the film reminds people that in the face of the imminent climate crisis, everyone plays a crucial role in a sustainable future. This event echoes SDG 13, the climate action goal, and sincerely invites students to reflect on the sustainable path of coexistence between humanity and nature.
