The Department invited Professor Szu-Ting Chen from the Institute of Clinical Medicine, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, to deliver a lecture titled “The Study of the Immune System in Health and Disease.” Professor Chen presented an insightful overview of the history and development of immunology, explaining the mechanisms of innate and adaptive immunity and their roles in protecting the human body. The lecture covered diverse topics, including vaccine innovation, inflammatory responses, autoimmune disorders, and cancer immunotherapy. With her clear explanations and engaging delivery, Professor Chen inspired the audience to gain deeper interest in immunology and its applications in modern medical research.
