Community-Based Child and Adolescent Mental Health Interventions with a Neurodiversity-Oriented Approach
This session invited the Flying Life of christ Association to conduct an online lecture. The association, with the mission of “bridging gaps in social inclusion,” has long been committed to drug prevention education and the mental and physical well-being of adolescents, providing students with profound insights. Their educational efforts focus on school-based drug prevention, using innovative approaches to embed anti-drug knowledge within campuses, allowing students to benefit from an engaging and informative learning experience. The association emphasizes a science-based approach combined with cognitive-behavioral interventions to help adolescents affected by drugs reshape their thinking and behavior. This holistic care philosophy reflects the belief that education should address students’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being, rather than focusing solely on academic performance. During the lecture, the internal organizational structure and division of responsibilities were clearly explained. Their approach to member training and fundraising, including creative initiatives like charity sales, was highlighted as an effective way to increase public engagement and visibility. Furthermore, for vulnerable youth affected by drugs, the association provides psychological support and life rehabilitation, assisting them in reintegrating into society. Looking ahead, students hope to apply these insights in daily life, pay attention to the needs of those around them, spread positive influence, and collectively work towards a drug-free future.
