From November 5 to 9, 2025, the College of City Management at the University of Taipei Went to Singapore for an off-site teaching program. Centered on the theme of sustainable urban planning practices, the program integrated expertise in municipal administration, marketing management, urban development, and health and welfare. Through field investigations and on-site learning, the activity aimed to cultivate students’ ability to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications. During this interdisciplinary learning trip, students visited the Singapore City Gallery, the National University of Singapore, Punggol Digital District, and Punggol Northshore Smart Estate. Singapore’s urban development experience greatly inspired the students of the College of Urban Governance. From long-term governmental planning to detailed urban design, Singapore demonstrated a high level of systematization and forward-thinking vision. Through this off-site teaching program, students not only broadened their international perspectives but also gained a deeper understanding of the practical operations of urban governance and sustainable development. The knowledge acquired on this trip can be applied to future urban policy and planning in Taiwan.
