Sports and Health Communication and New Media Editing Practice
This activity, aligned with the course's teaching objectives on physical education testing and assessment, invited Lecturer Guo to deliver a lecture on "Sports Health Communication and New Media Editing Practices." The lecturer used domestic and international research data and health behavior survey results to illustrate the importance of exercise for physical and mental health, and further pointed out the key role and influence of current social media and digital platforms in health information dissemination. Combining the concepts of testing tool application, data interpretation, and effectiveness evaluation emphasized in the course, the lecturer guided students to think about how to transform exercise effectiveness data and measurement results into credible and engaging health communication content, and to learn how to present scientific evidence and health information using new media editing practices. This helped students understand that physical education testing and assessment are not only research and teaching tools, but also crucial foundational applications for promoting sports and health communication, strengthening their future integration capabilities in professional practice and public health promotion.
