The Ulysses String Quartet was founded in the summer of 2015. In 2016, it won the top prize and gold medal at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. The ensemble subsequently received First Prize at the 2017 American Prize, First Prize at the 2018 Schoenfeld International String Competition, First Prize at the 2019 Vietnam International Music Competition, and Second Prize at the 2017 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition. In 2023, the Ulysses String Quartet was appointed ensemble-in-residence at GBH Radio in Boston, becoming the only string quartet in the United States with a residency at a radio station.
