The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) visited the Office of International Affairs at the Bo'ai Campus of the University of Taipei
The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) visited the Office of International Affairs at the Bo'ai Campus of the University of Taipei on December 18. The delegation was represented by Dr. Laura Po, Associate Professor at the Enzo Ferrari Engineering School, and was warmly received by faculty members from the Office of International Affairs. Representatives from the University of Taipei included David Chen, Dean for International Affairs; Ya-Chen Chi, Director of the International Foundation Program; Yen-Hung Chen, Chair of the Department of Computer Science; Tzu-Ling Chen, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Development; and Associate Professor Kuo-Ching Huang from the Department of Urban Development. Their participation demonstrated the university's strong commitment to advancing international education and academic cooperation. This visit marked UNIMORE's first official visit to the University of Taipei. Discussions focused on strengthening mutual understanding, enhancing awareness of Taiwan's higher education environment, and exploring the possibility of establishing an Erasmus+ student exchange agreement. The University of Taipei also warmly invited UNIMORE faculty and students to study Mandarin in Taiwan, further broadening opportunities for academic and cultural exchange. During the meeting, Dr. Laura Po introduced UNIMORE's academic strengths and institutional specialties, highlighting the university's extensive experience in engineering disciplines and research related to the automotive industry. Both institutions exchanged views on student and faculty mobility, interdisciplinary collaboration, and future academic partnerships, expressing a shared interest in deepening cooperation across both academic and cultural dimensions. Through this face-to-face dialogue, both universities expressed their expectation of creating more opportunities for international collaboration, promoting deeper understanding of Taiwanese and Asian cultures among students and faculty, and broadening global perspectives, thereby laying a promising foundation for future institutional exchanges. The meeting concluded with a gift exchange and group photo, marking a successful and friendly visit.
