Georgia College & State University (GCSU) visited the University of Taipei's Bo'ai Campus History Room

Georgia College & State University (GCSU) visited the University of Taipei's Bo'ai Campus History Room on December 8. The delegation was represented by Dr. Tsu-Ming Chiang and Dr. Jenq-Foung Yao, and was received by President Chiu. Representatives from the University of Taipei included David Chen, Dean for International Affairs; Shih-Chih Wang, Dean of the College of City Management; and Shu-Yu Chen, Dean of the College of Education, demonstrating the University's strong commitment to international educational collaboration. Dr. Tsu-Ming Chiang, who currently serves as Chair of the Asia Council and previously as the former Assistant Vice President of International Education at GCSU, visited with the aim of helping the American institution gain a deeper understanding of Asian cultures and Taiwan's higher education landscape. During the meeting, both parties discussed potential future collaboration opportunities, including faculty exchanges, Chinese language teaching programs in the United States, and the promotion of cross-cultural initiatives, with hopes of strengthening academic and cultural partnerships. The meeting proceeded in a warm and engaging atmosphere. With President Chiu's guidance, both sides shared experiences and insights from living abroad, creating a relaxed and pleasant conversation filled with laughter and genuine exchange. Through this in-person dialogue, both institutions expressed hopes of creating more opportunities for students and faculty to deepen their understanding of Taiwan and Asian culture, thereby broadening their global perspectives. To conclude the visit, President Chiu presented Taiwanese coffee and university souvenirs to the guests. Both parties exchanged gifts and took a group photo, marking a successful and memorable conclusion to this friendly visit.
