The Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA visited The University of Taipei Tianmu Campus
Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) visited the Tianmu Campus of the University of Taipei on November 12, where they met with President Chiu and toured the campus to foster academic and cultural exchange. The visiting delegation included Dr. Lara Luetkehans, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Michele Petrucci, Associate Vice President for International Education and Global Engagement. Both sides engaged in a warm and dynamic discussion. For the University of Taipei, the representatives who attended the meeting included President Chiu, Vice President Kuo-Wei Tseng, Dean of Student Affairs Po-I Chen, Dean of the College of Kinesiology Chien-Chih Chou, and Director of the International Foundation Program Ya-Chen Chi, demonstrating the university's strong commitment to international educational collaboration and partnership. During the meeting, the two universities held in-depth discussions on potential collaborations in dual degree programs and short-term exchange initiatives. They also shared their experiences and visions in promoting international education, advancing cross-cultural learning, and establishing sustainable partnerships. The IUP representatives sincerely invited the University of Taipei's faculty and students to visit their campus in the United States to experience American campus life and academic culture firsthand. Following the meeting, the delegation toured the Tianmu Campus's sports science facilities, including the Athletic Training Center, swimming pool, gymnasium, volleyball court, and track and field stadium. The IUP representatives were deeply impressed by the University of Taipei's professional academic environment and state-of-the-art sports facilities, gaining a deeper understanding of the unique features and development of the College of Sports Science and the city of Taipei. The visit was conducted in a cordial and engaging atmosphere. Both sides exchanged gifts, symbolizing friendship and mutual respect. This visit not only enhanced mutual understanding of each other's educational systems and cultures but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in academic exchange, student mobility, and joint research projects. Both institutions expressed optimism about expanding forward-looking international education initiatives together in the future.
