Virginia State University (VSU) Visited University of Taipei for an Academic and Cultural Exchange

On November 7, Virginia State University (VSU) visited University of Taipei for an academic and cultural exchange. The delegation, led by Dr. Chevelle Hall and Dr. Brian Maiden, was accompanied by four students, marking a vibrant and meaningful opportunity for cross-cultural interaction. During the visit, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding university-to-university collaboration and exchanged experiences and visions for promoting international education. Following the meeting, the Office of International Affairs arranged a campus tour for the visiting students, which included the Chinese Language Classroom, the University Library, and the popular on-campus café, Tamping Coffee. The tour also introduced the history of University of Taipei, unique features of Taipei's urban planning, and nearby government institutions, providing the visitors with a comprehensive understanding of the city. The atmosphere during the visit was lively and interactive. The Virginia State University students also had the opportunity to experience Taiwanese specialty beverages and desserts, further enhancing cultural interaction and mutual understanding. Through this exchange, both universities not only deepened their understanding of each other's cultures and educational systems but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration. Both sides expressed optimism regarding future developments in academic exchange, student mobility programs, and joint research projects, looking forward to expanding opportunities for international cooperation.
