First “114-1 Degree Students Mandarin Chatting Chatroom” Lunch Gathering with Warm Mid-Autumn Festival Vibes

Office of International Affairs (OIA) held the first lunch gathering of the "114-1 Degree Students Mandarin Chatting Room," creating a warm and festive atmosphere in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival. To enhance the Mandarin proficiency of UTaipei's degree students and help them adapt more quickly to life and studies in Taiwan, Mandarin Learning & Global Education of OIA, in addition to offering three "114-1 Non-Credit Mandarin Courses," partnered with the International Foundation Program to organize the "114-1 Degree Students Mandarin Chatting Room." Through these post-class lunch gatherings, students can practice their Mandarin listening and speaking skills while also sharing and resolving daily life challenges. In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day, Director Shuping Chang prepared exquisite mooncakes, pomelos from Hualien and Madou, and Taiwan's famous Dong Ding Oolong tea . Students enjoyed the festive treats together while learning more about each other's backgrounds and confidently expressing their thoughts in Chinese, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Currently, the "114-1 Non-Credit Mandarin Courses" are offered every Monday (3-4) and Friday (3-4 & 6-7), and registration for the "114-1 Degree Students Mandarin Chatting Room" is open to students who wish to improve their Mandarin skills. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation and look forward to more engaging and inspiring exchanges in future sessions.
