Orientation of 2025 Spring Semester for International Students (Including Exchange and Degree Students)
To help international freshmen of the 113-2 semester smoothly integrate into campus life, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) has specially organized an orientation session for international students. The session was hosted by Professor Kuang-Hsia Liu, Director of the OIA, and featured participation from faculty members across various departments, providing essential guidance and support for the new students. The orientation covered key aspects of preparation and adaptation for international students upon their arrival in Taiwan. Through extensive discussions and professional advice, the event aimed to help students embark on their academic journey with confidence. Additionally, from a global perspective, UT's commitment to respecting diverse cultures was emphasized, including a special introduction to the beauty of the Amis language, spoken by one of Taiwan's indigenous tribes. The session also introduced the "International & Overseas Students Club", inviting new students to join and experience various cultures while expanding their international perspectives. To warmly welcome international students into the UT family, President Elton Chiu prepared exquisite gifts for each participant as a token of sincere hospitality and best wishes. He also expressed gratitude to the student buddies for their dedication and acknowledged their contributions to promoting campus internationalization. He looks forward to seeing all international freshmen embark on a fulfilling and enriching academic journey at UT.
