To provide international students with an experience of Taiwan’s traditional crafts and festival culture, the study tour hosted by the University of Taipei included a handmade lantern workshop. Under the guidance of instructors, students created their own small lanterns while learning about their cultural significance and traditional crafting techniques. Through hands-on practice and creative expression, participants not only acquired practical craft skills but also gained a deeper appreciation of Taiwanese culture, traditions, and festive practices. This activity fostered cultural understanding and allowed students to engage interactively with Taiwan’s artistic heritage.
