To provide international students with an understanding of Taiwan’s early history and urban culture, the study tour hosted by the University of Taipei included a visit to the Bopiliao Historic Block. During the guided tour, students explored well-preserved historic buildings and learned about local lifestyles, commercial development, and cultural context from the late Qing Dynasty to the Japanese colonial period. This activity not only enhanced participants’ knowledge of Taiwan’s historic districts but also offered hands-on experience and opportunities for cross-cultural learning, enriching their overall understanding of Taiwan’s heritage.
