黃建淙-Graduation Art Exhibition

The theme of Jiancong's graduation exhibition, "My City: Embracing the Bardo," continues the thread of his solo exhibition, "Floating City: Bardo," shifting from "floating and transition" to establishing anchors for emotions and memories that can be placed amidst uncertainty. The author returns to his original home, Hong Kong, a place closer to the public's experience, using scanning, reconstruction, and interaction to create a perceptible "field of memory," allowing personal memories and urban space to intertwine between reality and formation. "Embracing" is also defined as relational acceptance and closeness, learning to coexist with the fluid state of being both dead and alive, acknowledging fluidity, allowing for incompleteness and identity ambiguity, and moving towards restorative and formative practices. The three works in the exhibition form a unified narrative: "Nanshan Playground" uses a 3D scan of Nanshan Village to reconstruct a wandering space, with words like moss growing on the outline, presenting fragmented memories; "Softness" uses sound to drive the deformation and restoration of cotton-like shapes, metaphorically representing resilience; "Forget-Me-Not" transforms the shadows of Taipei/Hong Kong flowers into particles and senses the viewer's movement, symbolizing the rebirth of identity in dispersal and mixing.
