On April 24, 2025, Dr. Tzu-Ying Chiu led a group of students to the Fuzhong Community Long-Term Care Institute, operated by Ling-Huo Long-Term Care Co., Ltd., for an on-site visit. As society ages, community-based long-term care facilities play a pivotal role in "aging in place" policies. This activity aimed to provide students with a deep understanding of the practical operations and spatial design of day-care centers. During the visit, the facility's team demonstrated how professional nursing, rehabilitation, and social activities are integrated to create a dignified and healthy living environment for seniors. Students observed the interdisciplinary team collaboration model and learned how smart care systems are applied to case management and family communication. Through exchanges with frontline care professionals, students not only gained insights into the management practices of the long-term care industry but also received concrete inspiration for their future career planning in the field of elderly welfare.
