Lecture Topic: How to Tell Stories—Storytelling Techniques You Can’t Afford to Miss The topic of this lecture is “Storytelling Techniques You Can’t Afford to Miss.” The lecture explains some criteria used to evaluate storytelling. Using storybooks as examples, it covers the essential elements of storytelling, such as characters, settings, conflict, and plot. The instructor also references advertisements to illustrate the “Three Unities”: one time, one place, and one event. The lecture discusses effective methods for acting and storytelling. During the presentation, students were invited on stage to demonstrate how to use eye contact to guide the audience’s focus, as well as to demonstrate stage depth and movement. The benefits of drama for future teaching were discussed.
