114 Years - USR-Thailand Student Exchange Meeting
This "Thai Student Exchange Meeting" was conducted entirely in English, aiming to promote educational exchange and cultural understanding among international students. The event began with an introduction from our faculty, outlining the university's unique features, curriculum goals, and talent development direction, as well as sharing their own research topics and the research development directions for graduate students. Following this, students from the Rehabilitation and Leisure Institute introduced themselves, including their professional backgrounds, athletic expertise, and research focuses. Thai students also introduced the characteristics of their schools, their own strengths, and their understanding and practice in areas such as social prescription and occupational therapy. To foster exchange and interaction, the first half of the event included icebreaker games, while the second half featured a hands-on experience with Bollard. Students from the Rehabilitation and Leisure Institute explained the rules of Bollard, and teams were formed, with each team consisting of a mix of students from the institute and Thai students. Bollard emphasizes teamwork and strategic thinking, and while designed for people with disabilities, it is suitable for everyone. At the end of the event, Thai students shared their experiences, noting that they had never tried Bollard before and found the sport novel and highly inclusive, especially suitable for indoor activities in Thailand's hot climate. They also highly praised the school's inclusive education and hands-on curriculum design. This activity not only deepened students' bilingual expression and international understanding but also promoted the integration of people with disabilities and mass sports, opening up more possibilities for future educational cooperation.
