For this lecture, we were honored to have the opportunity to speak with former zoo director, Dr. Jin shi qian. He shared his childhood encounters with animals, recounted his experiences as a veterinarian, including seeing seabirds with bellies full of plastic and assisting with giraffe births, and discussed the issue of euthanasia. His rich experiences prompted us to reflect on the relationship between humans and animals. This lecture provided us with a deeper understanding of the SDGs and environmental sustainability issues – a truly enriching experience!
