As part of our Plant Systematics course, we visited the Ark Greenhouse complex at the Taipei Botanical Garden, operated by the Forestry Research Institute under the Ministry of Agriculture. Through smart environmental control systems and vertical green wall design, the greenhouse creates suitable habitats for rare plants, showcases diverse native species, highlights Taiwan’s rich plant ecology, and helps us appreciate the importance of conservation and sustainable development.
