Faster and Better? Counseling Psychologists’ Choices in Professional Development and Social Responsibility

This lecture explored how intern counseling psychologists can coexist with themselves while developing professionally. The speaker shared his journey from training to practice, emphasizing the importance of building a solid foundation, prioritizing learning and self-care during internships, and maintaining ethical boundaries. He highlighted the need to accept personal limitations, manage anxiety, and view professional growth as a long-term process. Suggestions on internship selection, foundational skill development, and engagement in social responsibility were also provided, along with reminders about supervision and professional conduct in the digital age.
