IPAS Net Zero Carbon Planning Capability Training Program - Carbon Management Trends and Strategies

This "IPAS Net-Zero Carbon Planning Capability Training Program" course and workshop, themed "Carbon Management Trends and Strategies," focused on guiding participants to grasp the current state and future direction of global climate change, and strengthening their understanding of corporate carbon reduction actions and policy tools. The program invited professional lecturers to begin with international carbon emission targets and agreements, leading participants to understand the impact of climate change on industry, energy, and daily life. It further explained how companies can implement sustainable transformation and supply chain responsibility through scientifically defined emission reduction targets and carbon management processes. The course incorporated case studies and practical sharing to illustrate renewable energy development, offshore wind power investment, and changes in energy costs, allowing students to concretely grasp the importance and implementation challenges of energy transition in the pursuit of net-zero carbon emissions. It also introduced the operational logic of carbon trading markets and international carbon credit mechanisms, explaining how countries achieve carbon reduction commitments through emission trading systems, and guiding participants to consider their future roles and potential collaborations across industry, government, and academia. Beyond professional knowledge, the event also emphasized the practical application of carbon neutrality and sustainable development in daily life and cultural contexts. Through multifaceted discussions and guidance, students were encouraged to consider how to integrate the net-zero concept into their campus and career development from the perspectives of social responsibility, education, and policy, thereby achieving SDG goals such as sustainable cities and responsible production. This course and workshop not only helped participants accumulate knowledge in carbon management and energy but also strengthened the university's role as a platform for knowledge transfer and sustainability promotion, showcasing the concrete results of industry-government-academia-research collaboration and the university's social responsibility practices.
