IPAS Net Zero Carbon Planning Capacity Building Training Program - Greenhouse Gas Inventory Methodology and Analysis
In the global trend towards sustainable development and net-zero carbon emissions, businesses, organizations, and professionals face increasingly severe environmental responsibility and transformation challenges. This course provides a detailed analysis of common practical projects, such as the differences and quantification formulas between purchased electricity (grid power) and off-grid electricity (e.g., diesel generators, on-site green energy facilities). It also explains common direct emission sources in industrial processes, such as gases released from chemical reactions and carbon emissions due to changes in raw materials, providing specific emission coefficients and calculation examples to help participants understand how to estimate carbon emissions based on activity data. The course guides participants from boundary definition, data collection, and activity data conversion to emission calculation and report writing, breaking down each step before providing a complete understanding of all aspects of carbon inventory. Addressing practical business needs, the course also provides analysis and management suggestions for common problems and scenarios during the inventory process, strengthening participants' ability to respond in real-world scenarios and enabling them to understand the basic framework of carbon inventory and apply it practically to daily business operations and strategic planning.
