Ministry of Education 2025-2027 USR Project - Integrating University Social Responsibility into School Development Planning: Taipei Municipal University's "Grain for Good, Art for Every Field" project is deeply rooted in Fuli, jointly building a new benchmark for sustainable culture.

The performances took place on December 24th at the Straw Art Festival in Fuli Township, Hualien County. Students and faculty from Taipei City University transformed the fields into a natural theater, showcasing music, martial arts, and dance to embody the concept of "nurturing the land through art." The Department of Music presented classical music, Christmas carols, and Taiwanese folk songs, demonstrating the fusion of international art and local culture. Martial arts performances, including Tai Chi, drumming, karate, and taekwondo, presented the vibrant energy of life, where strength and beauty coexisted. Musical performances blending indigenous elements with modern trends further infused the event with diverse cultural energy. This initiative, led by President Chiu Ying-hao, involved faculty and students traveling to eastern Taiwan and officially signing a memorandum of understanding with the Fuli Township Farmers' Association to launch the "Good Grain, Artistic Fields" project. This pioneering local revitalization model combines charitable contract farming with art performances. Taipei City University students will adopt farmland for contract farming, and the resulting "Taipei Rice" will be transformed into charitable resources, conveying social care. The event also connects central and local governments, businesses and NGOs to jointly build a sustainable urban-rural exchange mechanism, showcasing the practical results of university social responsibility (USR) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and injecting new momentum for continuous mutual benefit into the Hualien-Taitung area.
