The 2026 National Intercollegiate Athletic Games were held at National Central University from May 3 to May 6, 2026. The Shooting Team from the Department of Athletics at University of Taipei delivered an outstanding performance, winning a total of 8 gold medals, along with 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. Among the highlights, junior student Hsieh Xiang-chen claimed the gold medal in the Men’s Air Pistol event and led the team to secure the gold medal in the Men’s Pistol Team event, breaking the meet record. Senior student Sung Chia-yen also achieved remarkable success by winning gold medals in both the Men’s 10m Rifle Individual and Team events.
